2017 was a huge struggle for me in the weight loss department. I went into 2017 with a plan to lose weight, but ended up gaining a few pounds. I was often trying to avoid pop, so would get a sugary coffee from Caribou or Starbucks to get my caffeine fix, which is horrible for you too and is what I give the most credit to this past year for my weight gain. I am DETERMINED to take control in 2018.
My plan right now for 2018, is to live a healthy and well balanced lifestyle of intuitive and clean eating while also counting points on Weight Watchers. I tried to eat clean and be mindful of my choices on and off this year, but haven’t been able to fully stick with it like I could before- a lot of weddings, parties, BBQ’s, Holiday’s, and other get-togethers got in the way of this because of my lack of self-control. Therefore, I have decided to give Weight Watchers a try because I had once lost weight this way, and I know so many people have been able to do it following this plan. I am a firm believer that we should be avoiding food dyes and chemicals, and only eating foods that have ingredients we can pronounce, and I plan to get back to this point someday, but for now, I need to really focus on jump starting my weight loss for once and for all, so I am not going to be overly particular about everything that I consume. I will be doing my best to enjoy lots of salads, veggies, and lean protein, but I am not perfect and am not at a place where giving up everything will stick with me (not that you should ever give up everything)! Weight Watchers has a new focus on eating more healthy and clean foods, which is another reason I am giving this a try. I am confident that a little lenience with my determination this time will do me good and I am excited to see what this year brings on my journey back to healthy and happy!
