I had an omelette and hash browns two nights this week already! I hadn’t eaten an omelette in so long. My secret to a perfect tasting omelette? Sweet Vermouth! My Dad has made them this way since I can remember and it is a game changer- I am picky about my eggs and Sweet Vermouth adds so much delicious flavor. I enjoyed an egg scramble as a side with steak and strawberries last week.
I sauté my veggies in Sweet Vermouth until cooked through. For my eggs, I scramble one or two with a little water and then pour into a hot pan with a little butter and let the egg cook through. When the egg is almost cooked through completely, add your cheese, your veggies, and then fold!
Garnish with chopped green onion!
I served my omelette with hash browns that were seasoned with black pepper, garlic powder, and turmeric!
