Healthful Food Series: Benefits of Asparagus

asparagus, healthful, benefits of asparagus, wellness, vegetables

Asparagus is probably one of my favorite vegetables to make and like all vegetables, it is incredibly healthy for you. Below are two big reasons why!

Full of Nutrients, Low in Calories

Asparagus is a great source of Vitamins A, C, E, and K. It contains the highest amount of Vitamin K which is great for clotting and bone health.

High in B Vitamin- Folate

Folate is recommended for women looking to get pregnant/are pregnant as it may help against miscarriage and can help lower the risk of defects.

Favorite Ways to Eat Asparagus

  • Grilled.
  • Roasted.
  • Sautéed.
