Slow and steady, that is my weight loss story so far and as frustrating as it is, I’m OK with that! Up until two weeks ago, I had been working out faithfully for just over a month and was feeling great (although not eating the best). Unfortunately, life threw me a big curve ball and I had to put down my 14.5 year old baby girl, Daisy. It was the absolutely worst day of my life, and the worst week leading up to it. God has been giving me strength though, and I am working my way through it. I was also blessed with a short notice, long weekend vacation to CO with my brother to visit Tommy last weekend (blog post coming soon!). For these reasons, I haven’t worked out in a couple of weeks and I really miss it! Once I catch up on a little sleep (it’s been a very exhausting couple of weeks both physically and emotionally), I will be getting back into my routine.
Regardless, just because our weight is coming off slowly, doesn’t mean we aren’t being successful! Change takes time, and persistence is key. When we fall down we just need to push through, remember our why, and get back to it!
