I’m thinking I’d like to share more grocery hauls and what I spend on groceries each week in an effort to be more conscious of my spending. I am someone who often ends up wasting a lot of food and buying an unnecessary amount of things at the grocery store and it’s definitely something I’ve been working on. Debt is not fun, and although it will always be there (thank you student loans), there are small money saving efforts that can be made to add up to big savings.
Not purchasing any meat has saved me a lot of money too. Even when grabbing lunch while I’m out and about, my meals are so much less because of this and I’m totally cool with it.
I need to be better at planning out meals and sticking to my list. I always go off of the list or I decide to buy way too many things for meals that won’t all get eaten in one week. I’m learning that the more simple the meals the better on my wallet, on waste, and on saving time in the kitchen each night.
There were a few items in my cart this week that got added because I was hungry so this quickly became more of an unhealthy haul than planned. Sometimes the grocery store just defeats you and there isn’t anything we can do about it, LOL! You win some and you lose some!
